About Us

At 7th Warrington Scouts, we have 3 sections.

Beavers – Tuesdays 6:00-7:00pm
Cubs – Mondays 7:00-8:30pm
Scouts – Tuesdays 7:15-8:45pm

We are part of Cheshire Scouts which is a very active County that offer lots of exciting opportunities for their members and Leaders.

Our Headquarters

7th Warrington Scouts has been run from our current Scout Head Quarters since its opening in 1983. The building was named ‘Robinson Hall’ after the Group Chairman, Ken Robinson who worked tirelessly to co-ordinate the fundraising for the new HQ. Previous to this the group didn’t have its own building and met on the Burtonwood Air Base.

Our Head Quarters are off Dorchester Road, Great Sankey and offer us a great space to meet. We have a main hall with a kitchen space where our meetings take place and separate rooms upstairs and downstairs including a store for our wide range of camping equipment. Outside we have a fenced area perfect for games and activities.

Our Camps

We offer a range of camps throughout the year, some indoors and some more traditional camps outdoors under canvas.

Parent and Child Camp- We invite parents to bring their Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and join us on a fun weekend camp.

Cub Camp- A camp to introduce Cubs to sleeping under canvas with just their fellow Cubs and leaders.

Winter Camp- An indoor Scout Camp which involves a hike up Kinder Scout.

Summer Camp- A weeklong Camp where the Scouts experience lots of adventurous activities and trips out of the campsite, looking after themselves and their equipment and working in patrols.

Back to Basics- A camping and hiking camp where you learn to look after yourself outdoors.

Blackfoot Hike- A District camp where Scouts have to independently hike, navigating themselves in pairs using their map skills, camping and cooking for themselves.

Chamboree- A large County Camp, run every 4 years which give Beavers, Cubs and Scouts great activities and camps to take part in.

Our Committee

We have an active Executive Committee who help support the leaders with fundraising and membership and maintain the building and grounds. Most members of the committee have had a child who has been a member of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or all three at some point and some have served 7th Warrington Scouts group for up to 30 years.

Our Family Activities

We try and run an event every term to help maintain the hut. From Santa Sleighs to Bingo and Race Nights, it is a great opportunity to get together and have a great time.
We also hold events in celebration of our amazing Beavers Cubs and Scouts at the end of the year and invite parents to come and enjoy a BBQ together.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
