Cubs

Who is our Cubs for?

7th Warrington Cubs are aged 8-10.5 and are open to all young people in the area.

Where do our Cubs meet?

We meet on Mondays 7-830pm at 7th Warrington HQ off Dorchester Road, Great Sankey.
Our Cub Pack leader is Adam Potts.

What do our Cubs do?

When you turn 8 it’s time to move up to 7th Warrington West Cub pack where you take your next steps in your Scouting journey. With more trips out and overnight camps, it’s a great time to grow in confidence and gain independence.
By completing their Activity and Challenge badges, Cubs work towards their Silver Award at the end of their time at Cubs. The badges help the Cubs explore the world around us and learn about our community.
Trips out include visiting the local Fire Station to learn about the important role our emergency services play in our communities.
Chippy Hike is always a favourite activity where the Cubs have to navigate a walk to a local chip shop. While having fun and eating chips, the cubs learn navigation and map reading skills. There are more chances to let loose and run about when we go to Sankey Valley and play wide games.
The cubs have a two-night camp during the spring or summer months where they get their first taste of independence away with their friends.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
